One framework across every listing
A rating is most useful when the same questions are asked of each platform. Riftelia groups those questions into six categories: eligibility, promotions, redemption, games, support and mobile use. The category names stay consistent across the rankings and individual reviews.
The published ratings are editorial comparisons based on available information. They are not certificates of legality, security audits or accounts of completed Riftelia test redemptions. This distinction matters when a reader is weighing a rating against a claim made by an operator.
| Category | Weight | What we examine |
|---|---|---|
| Compliance & eligibility | 20% | Official rules, free entry instructions, age conditions and restricted locations. |
| Promotions | 20% | Coin split, qualifying steps, recurring rewards and clarity of conditions. |
| Prize redemption | 20% | Eligible balances, minimums, verification, methods and stated processing conditions. |
| Game catalog | 15% | Formats, category variety and availability of game information. |
| Player support | 15% | Contact channels, published hours and usefulness of help material. |
| Mobile play | 10% | Navigation, balance controls, help access and small-screen usability. |
The evidence behind a category
An operator’s official rules answer different questions from its marketing page. The rules are where eligibility, entry and prize conditions should be established. A promotion page describes a specific offer. A help center can explain the account process, while the cashier may show methods that are available only to a particular eligible account.
A review should make it clear when a figure is an advertised description rather than an observed outcome. We do not substitute a competitor’s measured cash-out time or claimed support experience for evidence of our own. A missing or inconsistent detail is a reason to qualify the comparison, not to fill the gap with a precise-sounding number.
How weighting works
For a six-factor weighted calculation, each category score is multiplied by its share of the total, and the results are added. The purpose of weighting is to keep a strong visual presentation from overwhelming more consequential conditions such as eligibility and redemption.
For example, a hypothetical 4.5 in a category carrying 20% contributes 0.9 points to a five-point total. A 4.5 in a category carrying 10% contributes 0.45 points. This example explains the arithmetic; it is not a new score for any listed platform.
The directory retains its published editorial headline grades. Treat the category breakdown as the more useful explanation of the comparison, rather than assuming a displayed grade is a guarantee of a particular experience.
What the rating bands mean
| Band | How to read it |
|---|---|
| 4.8–5.0 | A stronger overall editorial assessment within this directory; still read the limitations. |
| 4.5–4.7 | A positive comparison with trade-offs that may matter to your preferences. |
| Below the listed range | Not currently represented in this six-brand directory. Absence is not a finding about an unreviewed operator. |
The small gap between two headline ratings may matter less than one specific condition. A platform can score well overall and still be unsuitable because your location is excluded, your preferred format is missing or the listed minimum does not fit the kind of play you want.
When a review should change
A revised welcome allocation, a new restricted-state list, a different prize threshold or a material change in account rules can all affect the comparison. A cosmetic redesign alone should not change an assessment of the underlying conditions.
If you flag a possible correction, include the page URL and the current primary document. We can then distinguish a temporary promotion from a permanent rule change and update the relevant explanation instead of treating every banner as a new baseline.
Commercial and editorial boundaries
Riftelia does not sell ranking positions or publish outbound affiliate registration links. Operators do not receive a promise of favorable wording. The same comparison categories apply regardless of the size of a welcome offer.
The site also does not handle player payments or disputes. A review can explain the published process and point out a condition worth checking; it cannot guarantee the result of an account review or override an operator’s decision.
Use the score as a shortlist
Start with two or three reviews and compare the categories that will affect your own experience. Read eligibility before promotions, the actual game mix before a library total and the prize conditions before a speed claim.
Open the comparison table to see the categories side by side. If you want help understanding a term, the FAQ explains the most common questions without assuming you already know the model.
